What to Expect

Project Structure

Bat Rhythm runs in repeating 6‑week project focused on learning a short performance routine. In the final week, we will do a fun video production in a unique location (Tues) and perform likely at Austin Swing Syndicate (Thurs), followed by a two‑week or so break before the next project begins!

Dancers may join one project or many, and participation can include rehearsals with or without performing - whatever works best for you!

Team Details

• Level: Intermediate - (get a feel of the skill level here).

  1. For dancers with a solid foundation, but not a fixed or tested level. There’s no audition or evaluation, and no one is “cut.” If something feels challenging or uncomfortable for you or the group, we'll just chat it out.

• Focus: Lindy Hop and Vernacular Solo Jazz

• Routines: Approximately 1‑minute performance pieces choreographed by your team leaders

• Performances: Austin Swing Syndicate (Thursday nights) plus more as they come

• Video Production: Quality, fun focused, video recordings in a fun Austin location to share on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram

Cost

• Team costs cover rehearsal space, performance coordination, and administrative expenses.

• $95 per 6 week project

Rehearsals

• Tuesdays

• 8-9:30 PM

• @ Tapestry Dance (with the exception of the month of February. We will be at Balance in February. Details in the Calendar)

Communication

• We'll use WhatsApp Communities to coordinate messaging/file sharing. Once you fill out the sign up sheet, we'll get you added to the Project you signed up for.
